Parties are a lot of fun, but planning them can be a bit stressful! Here's a list of five books about parties or celebrations that don't go to plan, but are all the more entertaining for it!

In Noel Streatfeild’s classic story from 1946, Selina receives a wonderful gift in the post from her American godmother: a party dress and matching shoes. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic 1925 novel has been reimagined by Lynne Wilson-Bailey to introduce this classic to younger readers. Set in New York in 1922, the novel tells the story of the extremely wealthy Jay Gatsby, famous for throwing extravagant parties.
