Here's a list of brilliant books featuring some of our favourite beastly baddies to get your young readers in the mood for our October 2021 Very Nice Villains box!

4 | JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH BY ROALD DAHL:
No list about baddies would be complete without at least one book by our favourite writer of villains. Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker have to be some of the most beastly. It’s lucky James escapes them for a (seriously wacky!) life of adventure!
5 | THE VANISHING TRICK BY JENNI SPANGLER:
Money grabbing Madame Pinchbeck is a fake medium, who captures children inside their own precious objects to make them appear and vanish at her willl. As Pinchbeck's ambitions and greed grow, so does the risk of the captive children vanishing for good. Can the imprisoned orphans free themselves from this dark magic?
